Your files stay on your Mac.
AC-3 (Dolby Digital) is a compressed audio format common in broadcast and home-theatre content. Convertessa reads the AC-3 stream, encodes it, and writes the result into an open Matroska Audio (.mka) file. Set quality before converting, and strip embedded metadata in the same pass.
Drag one AC-3 file or an entire folder onto Convertessa. Batch mode queues every .ac3 file in one go — no manual repeat.
Pick Matroska (.mka) from the output list. Set quality to control encoded audio fidelity; higher values preserve more detail from the source.
Click Convert. Convertessa processes everything locally; no file ever leaves your Mac.
Images, audio, video, documents, archives and eBooks — all converted natively, right on your Mac.
