No. AIFF is an uncompressed, lossless format. Convertessa copies the audio samples from the AVI container into AIFF without re-encoding, so nothing is lost beyond what was already in the source file.
Only the audio track is extracted. The video is not included in the output — AIFF is an audio-only format.
