Convertessa reads the proprietary Canon RAW (CRW) sensor data and writes a standard lossless PNG, preserving every pixel of resolution your camera captured. Because PNG is lossless, no tonal detail is discarded in the process. Everything runs locally on your Mac — no file ever leaves your machine.
Drag one CRW file or an entire folder of them onto Convertessa. You can mix files from different shoots; the app queues them all at once.
In the output format list, choose PNG. Convertessa will write one lossless PNG for every CRW you dropped, keeping the original resolution intact.

Yes. Convertessa removes EXIF and embedded metadata from the output PNG, so location data, camera serial numbers, and shooting parameters are not carried over.
