Your files stay on your Mac.
A .cur file stores a Windows cursor as a raster image, often with full alpha-channel transparency. Convertessa reads the embedded pixel data and writes it out as a standard PNG, keeping every pixel and transparent region exactly as they appear in the original cursor. The output file is immediately usable in any image editor, browser, or design tool.
Drag one or more .cur files — or an entire folder — into Convertessa. Your files stay on your Mac the whole time; nothing is uploaded.
Pick PNG from the output format list. Convertessa will render each cursor as a lossless PNG, preserving full alpha-channel transparency.
Click Convert. Convertessa processes every file locally and saves the PNGs alongside the originals, or to whichever destination folder you select.
Images, audio, video, documents, archives and eBooks — all converted natively, right on your Mac.

Yes. Drop a folder onto Convertessa or run convertessa cursors/ --to png on the command line. Every .cur file in the folder is converted in one pass.
Yes. Convertessa strips embedded metadata from image files during conversion. The output PNG contains only pixel data — no residual cursor metadata is carried across.
