Your files stay on your Mac.
JATS XML (Journal Article Tag Suite) is the structured format required by scientific publishers, PubMed, and preprint servers. Convertessa reads your .docx file and maps its headings, paragraphs, tables, and references to their corresponding JATS element tags. Everything runs locally — files never leave your Mac.
Drag one .docx file or an entire folder of Word documents onto Convertessa. Batch conversion processes every file in one pass.
Choose JATS XML from the output format list. Convertessa will produce a standards-compliant JATS document for each source file.
Click Convert. Your JATS XML files appear alongside the originals. No upload, no account — processing stays on your Mac.
