Your files stay on your Mac.
Convertessa reads each .docx and maps Word formatting to reStructuredText markup — headings become RST title underlines, bold and italic become inline markup, and bulleted or numbered lists translate to RST list syntax. The resulting .rst files drop straight into a Sphinx project, a Python package's docs folder, or any toolchain that consumes reStructuredText. Conversion runs entirely on your Mac; no file is uploaded anywhere.
Drag one or more .docx files — or an entire folder — into Convertessa. The file list shows every document queued for conversion.
Pick reStructuredText from the output format list. Convertessa will write a .rst file for each .docx in the queue.
Click Convert. Each .docx is processed locally and a .rst file lands beside the original. Word document metadata is stripped; only content and structure carry over.
Images, audio, video, documents, archives and eBooks — all converted natively, right on your Mac.
