DTS is a multi-channel surround audio format used in film and disc media. AU is a compact PCM-based audio container developed by Sun Microsystems, natively supported on Unix and legacy audio toolchains. Converting DTS to AU unpacks the encoded surround stream into a flat audio file your downstream tools can read without additional decoding.
Drag one DTS file or an entire folder of them into Convertessa. Batch mode processes every DTS file in the folder in a single pass.
Select AU from the output format list. Convertessa will write one .au file for every source file — you choose the target, the app never guesses.
Click Convert. Convertessa runs locally on your Mac; files never leave your machine. When finished, your AU files appear alongside the originals or in the folder you specify.
Images, audio, video, documents, archives and eBooks — all converted natively, right on your Mac.

Right-click any file in Finder and choose Convert. A Quick Action handles it on the spot — no need to open the app first.
