Your files stay on your Mac.
Converting QuickTime MOV to FLAC pulls the audio track out of the video container and encodes it in FLAC's lossless format — every sample is preserved exactly as captured. FLAC is the standard archival choice for audio from recordings, screen captures, or camera clips where lossy encoding is not acceptable. Convertessa runs the conversion locally; your files never leave your Mac.

Only the audio stream is written to the output file. FLAC is a pure audio format; the video track is not included. The original MOV file is left untouched.
No. FLAC is a lossless codec — every audio sample from the MOV is preserved exactly. The resulting FLAC file is bit-for-bit identical to the audio that was in the source.
Yes. Drag a folder onto Convertessa or use the CLI: convertessa ./folder/ --to flac. Every MOV in the folder is converted in one pass.
