Your files stay on your Mac.
Converting a MOV file to Ogg Vorbis pulls the audio track out of the QuickTime container and re-encodes it using the open Vorbis codec. The resulting .ogg file plays in any browser or media player that supports Ogg. Set the output quality to tune the balance between file size and audio fidelity.
Drag one MOV file or a whole folder onto Convertessa. Every file stays on your Mac — nothing is uploaded to any server.
Choose Ogg Vorbis from the output format list. Set quality to control the Vorbis encoding level and the resulting file size.
Click Convert. Convertessa extracts the audio track from each MOV and writes an .ogg file to the same folder.
Images, audio, video, documents, archives and eBooks — all converted natively, right on your Mac.

No. Ogg Vorbis is an audio-only format. Convertessa extracts the audio track from each MOV file and discards the video.
Yes. Drop the folder onto Convertessa or run convertessa /path/to/folder --to ogg from the command line. Every MOV inside is converted in one pass.
Quality sets the target Vorbis encoding quality on a scale from 0 (smallest file) to 10 (highest fidelity). Higher values produce larger files with better audio clarity.
