Your files stay on your Mac.
Convertessa re-wraps your MP3 audio into WavPack's lossless container entirely on your Mac — no file is ever uploaded. The converter reads each MP3 track and writes a .wv file that stores the encoded audio bit-for-bit. Drop a single track or an entire folder and get .wv files ready to archive or import.
Drag one file or a whole folder of MP3s onto Convertessa. All processing runs locally — nothing leaves your Mac.
Choose WavPack from the output format list. Convertessa sets the output extension to .wv and preserves the resolution of every track.
Click Convert. Your .wv files appear in the destination folder, ready to archive or load into any WavPack-compatible player.
Images, audio, video, documents, archives and eBooks — all converted natively, right on your Mac.

Never overwrite a file by accident. Convertessa appends safe suffixes automatically.
Every job is logged locally. Re-run a previous conversion or revisit recent outputs in a click.

Right-click any file in Finder and choose Convert. A Quick Action handles it on the spot — no need to open the app first.

No cloud. No account. No upload. Every conversion happens entirely on-device, using the power already in your Mac. What you convert is nobody’s business but yours.

No. MP3 is a lossy format — some audio detail was removed when the file was originally encoded. Convertessa stores whatever data is already in the MP3 bit-for-bit inside the WavPack container. It cannot restore what the original encoding discarded.
No. Every conversion runs locally on your Mac. Your MP3 files never leave your machine.
Yes. Drag a folder onto Convertessa or run convertessa /path/to/folder --to wv in the terminal. Every MP3 inside the folder is converted in one pass.
