No. Convertessa runs entirely offline on your Mac. Your MTS files are never uploaded to any server — the conversion happens locally using your machine's own processing power.
Yes. Drag the entire folder onto Convertessa or use the CLI: convertessa ./footage/ --to mpeg. Every .mts file in the folder is converted in one batch.
