Your files stay on your Mac.
Converting NRW to TIFF unpacks Nikon's proprietary RAW container into a lossless, universally readable image file. The output preserves full resolution and opens in any app that supports TIFF — no Nikon software required. Every conversion runs locally; files never leave your Mac.
Drag one NRW file or an entire folder of shots onto Convertessa. Batch mode processes every NRW it finds in one pass.
Choose TIFF from the output format list. TIFF is lossless, so no quality setting is needed — pixel data is preserved exactly.
Hit Convert. Convertessa writes the TIFF files alongside your originals. No upload, no cloud — everything stays on your Mac.
Images, audio, video, documents, archives and eBooks — all converted natively, right on your Mac.

No. TIFF is a lossless format, so pixel data is preserved exactly. No compression artifacts are introduced during the conversion.
Convertessa strips EXIF and embedded metadata from the output file by default. This is useful when sharing images without exposing camera settings, timestamps, or GPS data.
Yes. Drop a folder onto Convertessa or run convertessa ./folder/ --to tiff in the terminal. Every NRW file in the folder is converted in a single pass.
