Your files stay on your Mac.
Ogg Vorbis is a compressed open-source audio format; Apple CAF is the native container Apple uses across macOS and iOS. Converting your .ogg files to .caf makes them ready for Xcode projects, Core Audio pipelines, and other Apple platform tooling. Convertessa decodes and rewrites the audio entirely on your Mac — no upload, no cloud service involved.
Drag one .ogg file or an entire folder into Convertessa. The app reads each file locally — nothing is sent anywhere.
Choose Apple CAF from the output list. Convertessa decodes your Ogg Vorbis audio and writes a standard .caf container.
Click Convert. Your .caf files appear alongside the originals, ready to drop into Xcode or any Core Audio workflow.
Images, audio, video, documents, archives and eBooks — all converted natively, right on your Mac.

CAF is a lossless container, so Convertessa decodes your Ogg Vorbis audio and stores it as uncompressed PCM inside the .caf file. The decoded audio is accurate to the Ogg source — no additional lossy encoding step is applied.
