Your files stay on your Mac.
MPEG-TS is a broadcast transport stream that bundles video, audio, and subtitles into a single container — and AC-3 (Dolby Digital) is often the audio track embedded inside. Converting MPEG-TS to AC-3 extracts that audio as a standalone .ac3 file, ready for playback or authoring. Everything runs locally on your Mac; no files are uploaded.
Drag one .ts file or an entire folder into Convertessa. Batch mode finds every MPEG-TS file in the folder and queues them all in one pass.
Select AC-3 from the output format list. Because AC-3 is a lossy format, you can also set quality in the options panel before you convert.
Click Convert. Convertessa extracts the AC-3 audio track from each MPEG-TS file and saves a .ac3 file alongside the original. Nothing leaves your Mac.
Images, audio, video, documents, archives and eBooks — all converted natively, right on your Mac.
