Yes. Pass the folder path to the CLI — convertessa /path/to/folder --to textile — or drag the folder into the app. Convertessa converts every .txt file it finds and writes a matching .textile file alongside each one.
No. Convertessa runs offline on your Mac. Your Plain Text files are read and written locally; no data is sent to any server at any point during conversion.
Convertessa outputs standard Textile markup compatible with any platform that accepts Textile — including Redmine, Basecamp classic, and editors with Textile preview support. The output follows the Textile specification supplied at conversion time.
