Your files stay on your Mac.
3GP is a compact container designed for feature phones and mobile networks; MPEG-TS (MPEG Transport Stream) is the packetized format expected by broadcast encoders, HLS pipelines, and set-top box middleware. Converting 3GP to MPEG-TS re-wraps your video and audio tracks into a byte-stream container that broadcast and streaming tools can ingest directly. Convertessa performs the conversion entirely on your Mac — no file upload, no cloud service.
Drag one .3gp file or a whole folder of clips onto Convertessa. The app queues every 3GP file it finds automatically.
Choose MPEG-TS from the output format list. Because MPEG-TS uses lossy compression, you can also set quality before the conversion runs.
Click Convert. Convertessa processes every file locally on your Mac and writes MPEG-TS output alongside your originals — no internet connection required.
Images, audio, video, documents, archives and eBooks — all converted natively, right on your Mac.

Drop files anywhere on the window. Native, instant, and exactly what you’d expect on a Mac.
Dial in compression, resolution and bitrate. Keep originals pristine or shrink for sharing.
Never overwrite a file by accident. Convertessa appends safe suffixes automatically.
Every job is logged locally. Re-run a previous conversion or revisit recent outputs in a click.
Bundle your converted files straight into a single ZIP, TAR or 7z — packaged and ready to share the moment a job finishes.
Right-click any file in Finder and choose Convert. A Quick Action handles it on the spot — no need to open the app first.
Shrink Convertessa to a tidy mini window that tucks into a corner — just a drop zone and a format picker for quick, one-off conversions.
No cloud. No account. No upload. Every conversion happens entirely on-device, using the power already in your Mac. What you convert is nobody’s business but yours.
Script conversions, wire them into your build, or batch a folder from the terminal. The same engine, no GUI required.

No. Convertessa runs entirely offline — your files never leave your Mac. The conversion happens locally with no internet connection required.
Yes. Drop any folder onto Convertessa or run convertessa ./folder --to ts in the terminal. Every .3gp file in the folder is converted to MPEG-TS in one pass.
Yes. Because MPEG-TS uses lossy compression, Convertessa lets you set the quality level before converting. Higher quality produces larger files; lower quality reduces file size.
