Your files stay on your Mac.
Monkey's Audio (.ape) stores audio losslessly in a compressed form. Converting to WAV unpacks that compression into standard PCM audio that plays on virtually any device, DAW, or audio editor without additional codecs. No audio data is lost — WAV is also lossless.
Drag one or more .ape files — or an entire folder — onto Convertessa. Files never leave your Mac.
Pick WAV from the output format list. Convertessa preserves the original resolution and sample rate.
Click Convert. Your WAV files appear alongside the originals, ready to play or import into any audio tool.
Images, audio, video, documents, archives and eBooks — all converted natively, right on your Mac.

Right-click any file in Finder and choose Convert. A Quick Action handles it on the spot — no need to open the app first.

No cloud. No account. No upload. Every conversion happens entirely on-device, using the power already in your Mac. What you convert is nobody’s business but yours.
Script conversions, wire them into your build, or batch a folder from the terminal. The same engine, no GUI required.

No. Monkey's Audio and WAV are both lossless formats, so every sample is preserved exactly. Converting between them is a pure unpack — no data is discarded.
Yes. Drop a folder onto Convertessa or pass a glob to the CLI (convertessa *.ape --to wav) and every APE file is converted in one batch.
Most DAWs, portable players, and audio editors don't support the Monkey's Audio codec natively. WAV uses standard PCM encoding that is universally supported — converting removes the compatibility barrier.
