Your files stay on your Mac.
Ogg Video (OGV) stores video in the open Theora codec inside an Ogg container, which most Apple apps cannot open natively. Converting to QuickTime MOV rewraps that content into Apple's preferred container, making the file readable by QuickTime Player, Final Cut Pro, and any iOS or macOS app that expects MOV. Because MOV is a lossy target, you can set quality on the output to control the trade-off between file size and visual fidelity.
Drag individual OGV files or an entire folder into Convertessa. Your files never leave your Mac — conversion runs entirely offline with no account required.
Choose QuickTime MOV from the output format list. Set quality to your preferred level; higher values preserve more detail at the cost of a larger file.
Click Convert. Convertessa processes every file locally, preserving the original resolution. Finished MOV files land in the same folder as your source OGVs.
Images, audio, video, documents, archives and eBooks — all converted natively, right on your Mac.
