Your files stay on your Mac.
VOB is the video container used on DVD discs; iTunes M4V is Apple's playback format for QuickTime, Apple TV, and iOS. Converting VOB to M4V re-encodes the video stream into an iTunes-compatible file without sending anything to a server. The original resolution is preserved, and you can set quality to balance picture fidelity against file size.
Drag one or more .vob files — or an entire folder — into Convertessa. Everything is processed locally; your files never leave your Mac.
Choose iTunes M4V from the output list. Set quality to control how the encoder balances picture fidelity and file size.
Click Convert. Convertessa encodes each VOB into an M4V file at your chosen quality, preserving the original resolution throughout.

No. Convertessa runs entirely on your Mac. Your VOB files are read and written locally — nothing is sent to a server or cloud service.
Yes. Drop a folder containing multiple .vob files and Convertessa will process every one in a single batch, producing a matching M4V for each.
The output quality depends on the quality setting you choose before converting. Set it higher to stay close to the source picture; set it lower to reduce file size. The original resolution is always preserved.
