Your files stay on your Mac.
Convertessa decodes your WMA files and re-encodes them as TTA (True Audio), an open lossless audio codec. The entire conversion runs locally on your Mac — no files are uploaded and no internet connection is required. Convert a single track or an entire folder in one pass.
Drag one WMA file or an entire folder into Convertessa. Every WMA track in the folder is queued automatically.
Choose TTA from the output format list. Convertessa encodes each decoded audio stream into TTA's lossless container.
Click Convert. Convertessa writes a .tta file for each track. Everything happens on your Mac — nothing is sent to a server.

No cloud. No account. No upload. Every conversion happens entirely on-device, using the power already in your Mac. What you convert is nobody’s business but yours.

No. WMA is a lossy format, so some audio information was already discarded when the WMA was originally encoded. TTA is lossless, so Convertessa encodes every bit of the decoded output without further loss — but it cannot restore data that was already gone. The result is a bit-perfect copy of the decoded WMA stream.
Yes. Drop the folder into Convertessa or run convertessa ./music/ --to tta from the command line. Every WMA file in the folder is converted in one pass.
No. Convertessa runs entirely offline. Your audio files are never uploaded — all processing happens on your Mac.
