Your files stay on your Mac.
TTA (True Audio) is an open lossless audio codec that stores every sample of the original recording without any quality reduction. Convertessa reads your .tta files entirely on your Mac and converts them to 13 formats — FLAC, AAC, MP3, WAV, OGG, and more — without sending anything to a server.
Drag your .tta file onto Convertessa, or use File → Open to browse for it on your Mac.
Choose a target format from the output list — FLAC, AAC, MP3, WAV, OGG, OPUS, or any of the other supported formats.
Click Convert. Convertessa processes the file locally on your Mac and saves the result to your chosen output folder. No upload, no account required.
Images, audio, video, documents, archives and eBooks — all converted natively, right on your Mac.

Drop files anywhere on the window. Native, instant, and exactly what you’d expect on a Mac.
Dial in compression, resolution and bitrate. Keep originals pristine or shrink for sharing.
Never overwrite a file by accident. Convertessa appends safe suffixes automatically.
Every job is logged locally. Re-run a previous conversion or revisit recent outputs in a click.
Bundle your converted files straight into a single ZIP, TAR or 7z — packaged and ready to share the moment a job finishes.
Right-click any file in Finder and choose Convert. A Quick Action handles it on the spot — no need to open the app first.
Shrink Convertessa to a tidy mini window that tucks into a corner — just a drop zone and a format picker for quick, one-off conversions.
No cloud. No account. No upload. Every conversion happens entirely on-device, using the power already in your Mac. What you convert is nobody’s business but yours.
Script conversions, wire them into your build, or batch a folder from the terminal. The same engine, no GUI required.

New formats, new features, and fixes — every release, on the record.
That depends on the output format you choose. TTA is lossless, so converting to another lossless format — FLAC, WAV, AIFF, WV, or AU — preserves the original audio exactly. Choosing a lossy format such as MP3, AAC, OGG, or OPUS will reduce file size at the cost of some audio data.
Yes. Drag a folder onto Convertessa and it will convert every .tta file inside. From the command line: convertessa ./folder --to flac.
