Your files stay on your Mac.
Convertessa reads each Ogg file and re-encodes its audio stream into TTA, a lossless format that preserves every sample exactly as received. The entire process runs on your Mac — no upload, no cloud, no account. Hand it a single file or a whole folder and get TTA files back in seconds.
Drag one Ogg file or an entire folder into Convertessa. The app queues every Ogg file it finds and shows them in the conversion list.
Pick TTA from the output list. Convertessa will encode each audio stream to lossless TTA, keeping the original resolution of every sample.
Click Convert. Convertessa processes every file locally on your Mac and saves the TTA files alongside the originals.
Images, audio, video, documents, archives and eBooks — all converted natively, right on your Mac.

Never overwrite a file by accident. Convertessa appends safe suffixes automatically.
Every job is logged locally. Re-run a previous conversion or revisit recent outputs in a click.
Bundle your converted files straight into a single ZIP, TAR or 7z — packaged and ready to share the moment a job finishes.
Right-click any file in Finder and choose Convert. A Quick Action handles it on the spot — no need to open the app first.
Shrink Convertessa to a tidy mini window that tucks into a corner — just a drop zone and a format picker for quick, one-off conversions.
No cloud. No account. No upload. Every conversion happens entirely on-device, using the power already in your Mac. What you convert is nobody’s business but yours.
Script conversions, wire them into your build, or batch a folder from the terminal. The same engine, no GUI required.

TTA is a lossless codec, so it encodes exactly what it receives from the Ogg source. If the Ogg file used a lossy codec like Vorbis, the conversion faithfully preserves that audio — it does not reconstruct detail that was discarded during the original lossy encode.
Yes. Drag a folder onto Convertessa or use the CLI: convertessa ./folder --to tta. Every Ogg file found in the folder is queued and converted in one pass.
